Name for the Collective

Hey everyone,

I've changed the url for the collective to kwantlenartcollective.blogspot.com instead of artistcollective2010 because it's no longer 2010. However, I think we can think of a catchier name! Next weeks meeting we will try to figure out a name for our collective, and change this up accordingly. Looking forward to everyone's ideas..

Today's Meeting

Hi everyone,

Today we had a pretty productive meeting. Positions were voted:

Chair: Andres Salaz
Co-Chair: Chelsea Lawrick
Treasurers: Rhea Paez & Shelly Leroux

Last semester, Andres applied for a grant from Coca-Cola to fund a group show, and we got it! We've been looking around at different galleries and a few of us checked one out on Carrall st in Gastown on the weekend. We loved it, just waiting to hear some more information. Tonight we voted on a theme for the show so we can get started on producing for it. It was a close call between "In Dreams" and "Personal Spaces". So close, actually, that we had to call up Alan, who wasn't able to make it to the meeting, to tip the vote one way or another. It felt like "Who Wants to be a Millionaire" haha. Anyways, our theme was decided to be "Personal Spaces", although I feel like the two mesh together very well regardless. Can't wait to see what we all come up with for this.

Anyone who wants to post to this blog, let me know and we will get you set up! Input is vital!
